Cathy told me one day about her efforts at setting up a website: She had purchased half a dozen domain names and a website package from an antiquated hosting company. Besides charging outrageously for do-it-yourself pages, their interface was so much of an obstacle that she was on the verge of giving up. As an executive coach, Cathy wasn’t looking to sell products online–she just wanted a “calling card” so that people could look her up if they wanted to. After I redesigned her logo and built her website, Cathy was able to confidently put the URL on her training materials and business cards. While this first step is perhaps the biggest for a business owner new to the idea of creating an online presence, it also creates countless new opportunities!
